Refund & Cancellation Policy

We believe parents should never have to commit blindly. 64Minds Chess Academy provides an initial 1-on-1 or small-batch trial demo class absolutely free of charge.

• No credit card or payment information is required to book a demo.
• During the demo, Coach Harshavardhan or a senior coach evaluates your child's chess level and explains our syllabus.
• Parents are encouraged to enroll in paid batches only when fully satisfied with the coaching caliber and teaching style.

If you complete enrollment but request a cancellation before the first official class of the batch takes place:

• You will receive a refund of the course fee paid.
• A nominal third-party payment gateway transaction charge (typically 2% to 3%) and non-reclaimable payment fees will be deducted, with the entire remaining balance refunded.
• No administrative cancellation penalties or forfeiture charges are applied.

We understand that sometimes unexpected scheduling conflicts arise once regular classes begin. For newly enrolled monthly or multi-month packages:

• You may request a refund within 7 calendar days from your batch start date (or prior to attending your 2nd scheduled class, whichever comes first).
• Eligible requests submitted within this 7-day window qualify for a pro-rata refund as detailed in Point 04 below.

For cancellations approved within the 7-day window, the refundable amount is calculated equitably:

• Formula: Refund = Total Fee Paid - (Classes Conducted × Standard Single Class Rate) - Gateway Charges & Statutory Taxes
• Any digital chess accounts, curated tournament entries, or individualized opening repertoire documents already generated and delivered are deducted at cost.

To protect coach scheduling commitments and small-batch student teacher ratios, refunds cannot be granted under the following scenarios:

• Requests submitted after 7 calendar days from the batch start date.
• Where more than 2 classes in the billing cycle have already been attended by the student.
• Student absences (no-shows) where the coach was present in the live classroom but the student failed to attend without prior notice.
• Dismissal or suspension resulting from cheating, chess engine usage, or severe behavioral misconduct.

We recognize that children have school exams, family travel, and unforeseen health events. Instead of forfeiting fees, parents can request a Course Pause:

• Parents can pause their child's coaching for up to 60 days with 7 days advance written notice.
• Unutilized paid sessions are preserved as account credits and resumed upon the student's return.
• Students may also transfer remaining class credits to an upcoming batch or an enrolled sibling.

If 64Minds Chess Academy is unable to deliver a scheduled coaching batch due to coach unavailability, emergency, or academy scheduling changes:

• A full 100% refund of all unutilized sessions will be issued immediately without any processing deductions.
• Alternatively, parents may opt for immediate compensatory makeup sessions with Coach Harshavardhan at a prioritized convenient time slot.

Occasional missed classes do not qualify for financial cash refunds, but are supported through makeup sessions:

• If notified at least 24 hours in advance, 1-to-1 students are eligible for up to 2 makeup classes per month.
• For group class absences, coaches provide class notes, puzzle exercises, and game analysis files so the student does not fall behind.

To ensure secure processing and prevent unauthorized requests, refund and cancellation claims must follow this procedure:

• Send an official email to support@64mindschess.com or message our official WhatsApp at +91 99528 17145.
• Include: (1) Parent Name, (2) Student Name, (3) Registered Phone Number, (4) Payment Reference / Transaction ID, and (5) Specific reason for cancellation.
• Our admissions team will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours with a formal ticket ID.

In compliance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) payment gateway directives and banking protocols:

• Processing Time: Approved refunds are initiated through our payment gateway within 5 to 7 business days from the date of written approval.
• Original Payment Source: All refunds are credited strictly back to the original payment method used during checkout (the originating UPI ID, bank account, debit card, or credit card). We do not issue cash refunds or third-party bank transfers.
• You will receive an automated SMS/email confirmation containing the bank UTR reference number once the refund is dispatched by the gateway.
